Buenos Aires was her home up until the time she reached age 6 when the family relocated into Victoria in London. Taylor-Joy acknowledged that the move had been difficult and that she was unable to pursue a degree in English as she wanted to return to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she changed schools from Northlands. In the following years, she attended Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in productions. Then she dropped out of high school when she was 16 in order to focus on her acting profession. Taylor-Joy had always wanted to work as an actor. At the age of 16, Sarah Doukas Founder of Storm Management gave her the possibility to be a model.
