Jessie J

Jessica Ellen Cornish, popularly known by the name of Jessie J, is a popular English musician and singer. Jessie became famous early on for her distinctive style of music which incorporates soul vocals with hip-hop and pop with electropop. Her awards include the 2011 Critics' Choice Brit Award as well as BBC's Sound of 2011 as well as several nominations. She started her career in the age of 11 when she was in the production of 'Whistle Down the Wind' by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. In 2002, she was a part on"The Late Sleepers," a "National Youth Musical Theater" performance of "The Nightmares." The singer became famous in 2011 with her debut album 'Who You Are,' which was released on February 28. The album was a huge success from the beginning. Within the first week there were 105,000 copies sold in the UK and 34,000 across the US. It was ranked #2 in the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on US Billboard 200.
